MS ChatGPT and the New Bing - First Impressions

Finally received the email that I can use Microsoft's ambitious project, the New Bing.

The first thing I did was ask it to explain the differences between ChatGPT and the New Bing.

I also asked ChatGPT for a comparison.
In summary, the New Bing is a search-based answer engine that analyzes and delivers the latest data, while ChatGPT seems to focus more on analyzing conversational flow and generating creative responses.

This is why the New Bing provides nearly accurate answers — complete with sources. This is genuinely incredible.
However, one issue is that since it's based on search data, if information from blogs or other sources is inaccurate, it can serve up wrong information. It may also miss the very latest news that hasn't been indexed yet.
But the advantage is that since sources are provided, you can filter things out sufficiently.

On the other hand, ChatGPT very diligently provides information that isn't factual.
So what I realized is that using both services together makes the most sense.
When you need information about the latest news or cutting-edge technology, search with the New Bing.
Then use ChatGPT to generate documents — that would be extremely useful.
The AI market will only keep advancing, and every day is exciting :)
